The following page attempts to
describe a typical scenario for a VerticalAnswer
client. There are many other options, however, we have tried to
document the basic call-flow and some of the most popular
features.
Incoming Call Process
-
Let's say a prospective Client dials your
convenient toll-free phone number
-
Your Auto-attendant
(AA) picks up the call on the first ring
- making a very good impression!
-
Your AA then plays your professionally recorded and consistent greeting and menu system
-
Your AA asks the user to select the department that would
be best able to assist them.
(Keep in mind that each "Virtual Department" can have it's own Voicemail box or can be
set up to go to a single Voicemail box depending upon the number of employees you have to answer calls.)
-
The caller presses the appropriate telephone key and is transferred to a "Voicemail box"
Now the term "Voicemail box" is somewhat
limiting and misleading, it's really more of a personal "Call
Router" that transfers your call to you wherever you are,
(with the option of leaving a message).
-
While you are in the office or at home you can have the calls transferred directly to you at your desk.
-
When you go out into the field to an appointment, to lunch, wherever, you simply call the system and tell it to transfer calls to your cell phone.
-
When you get back to the office you can then resume receiving calls at your desk. It's that simple.
If you are not available to pick up the call and it winds up being sent to voicemail, then the system merely takes a message and it can be configured to forward your voicemail message via email to your computers desktop to be played over your computer speakers.
