You're not the only one.  In our attempt to provide thorough and complete information we may have provided too much - even potentially overwhelming.  As many people have asked "can you cut to the chase" we have put together a Short Quick Overview for your review.  If you still have questions please call us directly - we'd love to hear from you!

How much does your Service Cost?
We have 4 basic packages that usually address most customers needs.  Each package can be further customized to fit your exact needs.  Our minimum rate is $15.95 per month and that includes a toll-free phone number, an enhanced Voicemail Box and 50 minutes of usage per month.

I am starting a new business, can you help?
Absolutely!  We can reduce your start-up costs by 10's of thousands of dollars if not more!  With Vertical Answer you can skip the expensive phone system and Voicemail system.  Avoid the expense of hiring a receptionist, (or put them to work on income producing tasks),  and even lease smaller office space as you will have less equipment and fewer bodies!  We can also help with email services and Web site development.  Please C

How large is the Voicemail message sent via Email?
It really depends upon how long the caller talks.  The average message is about 250kb (1/4 of a MB) and generally range between 175kb and 500kb.  This can be a problem if you get a lot of messages and use one of the free email services such as Yahoo or Hotmail.  Most free service have a maximum of 5 MB and that could easily be filled up with 20 Voicemail messages.  If this does become a problem we can provide you with email services as well.

Do you require credit checks?  What forms of Payment do you Accept?
No.  However we currently only accept Credit Card payments for the month-to-month plans.  If you choose to use a cashiers check or money order we require a minimum of 6 months payment in advance.

Is their any equipment to purchase?
No.  Our services is compatible with your existing cell phone, phone phone and office phone system.  To set-up your voicemail services you can either use your telephone or sign-in to our secure Web site.

Is their any software to download?
No.  Our Web interface is compatible with most operating systems, including Mac, Windows, Linux and Unix.  Only a Web browser is needed and if you don't have access to the Web you can adjust 95% of your settings via a regular telephone!

I have a receptionist, Why should I use an Auto-Attendant?
Many small and medium-size companies believe that having a live receptionist is better than an Auto-Attendant.  An Auto-attendant provides a consistent, more professional appearance than a Receptionist. Productivity has been shown to increase when workers are not continually interrupted by phone calls that could easily be handled by Voicemail or through automation. Furthermore there have been studies that show Customers are more satisfied with Auto-attendants as this provides a means for your Callers to navigate through your company  and avoid speaking with the wrong people.

How do I know what extension number a caller entered?
Let's assume you have 2 Voicemail boxes (extensions).  You use Voicemail box 1 for your extension and Voicemail Box 2 for all other extensions, virtual departments, etc.  You can have each Voicemail box forward your calls to a separate distinct phone number.  So for example,    And once an Voicemail message is recorded, we can send it to you via email, that email message will indicate what Voicemail box the message was sent to.

What features are included in Voicemail?
Too many to list here.  We recommend that people interested in using our Voicemail system refer to the Voicemail Users Guide to fully understand the power the the Vertical Answer solution.  Some of the main features include: Find Me, Follow Me, Live Call Transfer, Voicemail-to-Email, Voicemail Notification and Scheduled Reminder Calls (A.K.A. Wake up calls and Meeting Reminders)

What optional features are available? Additional Fees?
Not many.  We tend to give you everything we provide for one flat monthly fee.  Please refer to our Services Price List for more details. If you grow beyond one Voicemail box we can Provide an Auto-Attendant that can help your callers route to the correct Department or extension.  Also if you go over your included minutes there is a $.0565 per minute fee.  This is a very competitive rate and may be cheaper than what you are paying now for Long Distance service.

What can I use the Voicemail account for?
Many things.  Individuals use the Vertical Answer solution as a telephone or answering machine replacement, the can us it temporarily for classified ads, special events (Parties, Weddings, Informational, etc.), Business use it to unify a diverse and distributed workforce, increase productivity and quickly and easily look like a bigger company than the truly are.

My company is moving, can I use Vertical Answer?
Yes!  Many companies have found that Vertical Answer provides a great interim solution either while they await the installation of phone lines, phone equipment, or availability of office space.  A few have even retained Vertical Answer as their permanent Voicemail solution, as to match the services available through Vertical Answer would be to costly if they tried to replicate them.
